The life of a Gentle Hero, a True Patriot, an Angel of Peace has Ended !!! In Loving Memory of my Son Sergeant Patrick Ryan McCaffrey Senior. Born May 26 1970 at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto, CA. Patrick was shot multiple times, in an Ambush Tuesday June 22 2004 at 11:45 am, near Balad, Iraq. Patrick inlisted after 9/11 with the 579th Engineer Batallion, from Petaluma. The 579th was part of LSA Anaconda. Patrick lived and died a true Patriot in devotion to his family, his friends, and his Country. I thank everyone for supporting our family in this time of grief.

"From the moment of Patrick's death, my life has been dedicated to Peace and Justice. I have been speaking against the corruption, the immorality and evil of this war of greed, taking the lifes of so many. I am working to bring our troops and our national guardsmen home.  Working to halt the killing of innocents civilians and children of Iraq. I am working to expose the truth"  Nadia McCaffrey

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." Theodore Roosevelt "Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star" (149) May 7 1918

The U.S. military prohibits news media from photographing the coffins of dead American soldiers returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. Nadia McCaffrey refused to go along with that policy and invited the press to view her son Patricks coffin at the Sacramento International Airport in 2004. She said, My son left for Iraq with a big smile on his face, and he was waving at us to cheer us up. Now, why should I hide him when he comes home? Im proud of him. I love him, and I wanted the world to witness this.

Nadia McCaffrey told Democracy Now! that she joined Cindy Sheehan in Crawford to show her opposition to Bushs policies. She said, "I had to be here. I had to support Cindy and I had to support the mothers. I came because what she started is very important. I think its going to make history. This is the first time when we have some attention."

Do we have a life Mission?

Is it about Caring, about Compassion?
Or unconditional Love, selfless service...
Are we respecting the rights of the Dying?
What can we accomplish with unconditional Love for one another,
withTolerance...and Joy? Are we forgiving with each other?
Can we answer this questions without hesitation?

Learning with true understanding of others,
letting go of fear, and discovering self-confidence is very important.

Before Birth, Being born, Living a full Life, Dying, and Life After Death.
These stages are very much a part of the same Journey. When we come to understand the real purpose of Living, we can face Death not only without Fear but in Acceptance, Peace and even Serenity. This is what I have come to fully comprehend after I, myself experienced many Close encounters with Death.

Among this encounters are 3 NDEs, (Near-Death Experiences): first at age 7, then 17 and 54 years old. (My NDEs) Death is not a black hole, the "end of everything. It is a true Spiritual Experience for which we should prepare ourselves.

For the past seventeen years, I have been a volunteer and I have trained others to become volunteers at the bedside of those who are facing Death. This has given me a true understanding of the real needs of people during this ultimate transformation and transition.

The process is simple and comes from the Heart . Unconditional Love, Compassion and Patience, along with total Understanding of the Process, are the ultimate ingredients of this last journey. Death is often met with fear and confusion yet it is as significant as birth itself.

This is because death is the Celebration of a life lived and by meeting it on your own terms you define the value of all that you have lived and done. Our Angelstaff of volunteers is always ready to provide bereavement, support and resources to those who ask for assistance. We are a non-religious, non-denominational (interfaith) Service Organization. We respect each and everyones Beliefs regardless of Religion, Culture, Race, Age or Gender.

We respect all Life.

Birth and Death are very much a part of Life.
We can balance our Lives by understanding how to live with Serenity and Peace at their fullest. Our training is offered to those who are interested in issues on Death and Dying and people who have the need and the desire to become a volunteer.

Empowering your self, understanding your own fear of death.
Listening skills and communication.
Learning how to become an emotional & Spiritual Support for the Dying and the Terminally Ill.
Helping with different options.
Coaching families to make the Right choices when confusion, fears and other powerful emotions are overwhelming.
Becoming a Totally Responsible Person.
Leaving your agenda at the door.
The persons Dying Wishes come first, it is not about you.

Understanding someones needs.
How to be helpful and very much present for the Dying.
Why anger, fear, resentment?

Helping the family with loving support and Respite Care .
Multidimensional music therapy specially designed to bring Peace and Serenity at the
end of Life.
Presenting resources available to families at this painful moment. When people are
hurting and disoriented, clear thinking becomes difficult.
After loss and facing Life again...
Accepting the facts, the mourning process.
Making a difference.
